Ownership and data
- Where does our data live?
- In your organization’s dedicated installation. Under an on-premise license, your team chooses and operates the infrastructure. Under the managed service, Mirket operates the dedicated infrastructure in the agreed region and service boundary.
- Is our organization isolated from other organizations?
- Yes, and not by a tenant column. Separate organizations do not share application processes, PostgreSQL, Redis, or storage namespaces. One installation serves one organization.
- Can we export our data?
- Analytics have a defined retention boundary and a portable export. Broader database, object-storage, backup, and migration access follows the operating model and the terms agreed for your deployment.
- Does Mirket call home?
- An on-premise installation verifies its license offline against a stable installation identity, so ordinary operation does not depend on a live licensing service.
Running it
- What do we need to run Mirket ourselves?
- A host that can run the composed stack, and someone comfortable operating containers, holding backups, and applying upgrades. The deployment page describes the services involved.
- What if we do not want to run it?
- There is a managed service for organizations that want the product without operating the stack. Both models are described on the pricing page.
- How do upgrades work?
- Configuration is mounted at runtime and migrations run as an explicit step, so an upgrade does not rewrite your settings or migrate a database as a side effect of a restart.
- What happens to our license in a disaster recovery?
- The installation identity is not regenerated by recovery or by an upgrade, so a recovered organization does not need a reissued license.
The product
- Which roles does Mirket support?
- Students, instructors, and administrators use role-specific web applications. Organizations can also enable a Parent browser portal for verified, read-only family access. Students and instructors may use the optional desktop app when a build is published. Android is planned for the first production release but is not currently downloadable. iOS publication is undecided; no iOS app is available to download.
- Is chat safe for a school?
- When the Chat module is enabled, blocking and direct-message controls are enforced inside the Matrix homeserver, not only in the interface, so a client that ignores the UI cannot route around them.
- Can exams be defended after the fact?
- Publishing an exam freezes an immutable version, attempts are bounded by delivery window and time, and scoring keeps its audit history. A later edit creates a new version rather than changing what a student already sat.
- What languages are available?
- This site publishes in a language once its translation is complete; the switcher lists exactly those. The product interface ships in the same six languages: English, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, and Russian.
- Can staff use our institutional accounts?
- Configured Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 sign-in works in the browser for existing active Mirket accounts. An administrator explicitly binds each account to its provider identity; an email match alone never creates or links an account.
- Can we bring in rosters and course files?
- Administrators stage, review, and confirm configured OneRoster imports before adding accounts, course sections, or memberships. Instructors can copy selected Google Drive or OneDrive files into protected course storage. Imports are deliberate snapshots, not an unattended roster or live-file synchronization.
- How do assignment integrity reports work?
- Where the organization configures an external provider and an instructor enables checks for an assignment, eligible submissions can receive similarity and AI-writing reports. Instructors review the evidence; scores do not decide misconduct or automatically determine grades. Students can see the report for their currently graded submission once the course gradebook is released and they have a result.
- What can parents see?
- With the optional Parent module, administrators verify relationships and grant academic categories per child. Parents get read-only access to granted work status, released results, and teacher-confirmed attendance, and choose their own notification preferences.
- How does optional course certification work?
- The installation operator makes Certification available with a default-off switch, and an Administrator activates it separately for the organization. Authorized staff manually issue course certificates from versioned templates; Administrators can correct or revoke awards. Students see only their own authenticated award and can use the browser to Print / Save PDF. It is organization-private and makes no accreditation or public verification claim.
- What is Mirket LMS?
- Mirket LMS is a learning management system for one organization per installation. It connects course work, assessment, collaboration, reporting and administration under organization-scoped access. Your team can operate it on your infrastructure or choose a dedicated instance managed by Mirket. The first production release is in preparation.
